A statistical study, published in the Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics (1993;16(5):291-299) looked at two years of health care cost data, comparing health costs of patients who received chiropractic care for musculoskeletal complaints to those who received care from medical doctors and osteopaths. Overall, patients who received chiropractic care had lower costs.
