This is an older article, but more celebrities are using chiropractic care.
Several well-known athletes and performers have spoken publicly about their use of chiropractic care. San Diego Padres players Tony Gwynn, Trevor Hoffman, and Woody Williams were featured in Chiropractic Products magazine, where it was noted that several players received chiropractic adjustments before games.
U.S. Olympic speed skater Derek Parra, a holder of multiple American records, has also credited chiropractic care as part of his routine. Sponsored by the ACA, Parra stated, “I’ve always believed in chiropractic care… the problem doesn’t get fixed until I go to a chiropractor.”
Lance Armstrong, three-time Tour de France winner, received chiropractic care during competition, according to USA Today, as part of post-stage recovery alongside hydration, massage, and nutrition support.
Chiropractic care is also used by well-known entertainers. Janet Jackson has discussed using chiropractic to help manage stress and physical demands during performance tours.
Use in professional sports is common. According to the Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics, 77% of NFL trainers have referred players to chiropractors. Thirty-one percent of NFL teams have a chiropractor on staff, and another 12% refer players to chiropractors even without a staff position.
As Arnold Schwarzenegger has said about chiropractic, “Chiropractic is about health and fitness… natural, preventive health care. I have experienced this for the last 30 years.”
